Inc. released its annual Inc. 5000 list that includes over 100 Ohio companies—two from Stark County, with Genstone Field Services from Canal Fulton growing 699% and Scott Sheldon from North Canton growing 227%.

Police released investigative reports detailing the murder of 26-year-old drag performer Ryan Godbey, whose last known sighting was after leaving a nightclub on June 19 and whose apartment showed signs of a violent struggle with blood, bleach bottles, and gloves, while Daniel Mattay was charged with murder and related crimes—and the family offered a $15,000 reward for any information leading to his remains.

Massillon City Schools will open two new elementary schools on September 2 with a ribbon cutting and open house on August 24—students from three older buildings will benefit from improved safety and easier transportation.
