CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Police released investigative reports detailing the murder of 26-year-old drag performer Ryan Godbey, whose last known sighting was after leaving a nightclub on June 19 and whose apartment showed signs of a violent struggle with blood, bleach bottles, and gloves, while Daniel Mattay was charged with murder and related crimes—and the family offered a $15,000 reward for any information leading to his remains. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Massillon City Schools will open two new elementary schools on September 2 with a ribbon cutting and open house on August 24—students from three older buildings will benefit from improved safety and easier transportation. The $45 million project was partly funded by the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission. The Repository

- ➤ ODNR's Division of Wildlife asked residents to report sightings of dead or sick deer showing signs of epizootic hemorrhagic disease, with most cases recently noted in Athens and Washington counties.
