- ➤ Ohio law now allows consumer fireworks on select holidays including July 3, 4 and 5 (4 to 11 p.m.), and Canton follows state rules with no extra restrictions while residents must be at least 18 and follow safety guidelines; some Stark County towns have banned fireworks. The Repository

- ➤ The 104th Ohio Open Championship will take place at Firestone Country Club in Akron from June 30 to July 2—featuring 288 golfers that include defending champion Drew Salyers and 13 past winners.
