- ➤ Today, EOG Resources, a Houston-based energy company, announced plans to acquire Encino Acquisition Partners (a $5.6 billion deal) that will increase its Utica acreage from 675,000 to 1.1 million acres in Stark, Columbiana, and Carroll counties and boost its free cash flow, with the transaction expected to close in the second half of this year. - ➤ Theodore Stallworth of Canton said he woke up on June 10 to find that a Stark County deputy dog warden shot and killed his dog King outside his home. The Repository
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ The Ohio Craft Brewers Association report says craft breweries produced $1.29 billion in economic output in 2024 and supported 12,255 jobs in the state. The report shows 442 breweries operated last year and that Northeast Ohio breweries generated $71.2 million in local economic activity — nearly 90% of the breweries opened in the last 13 years.
