HEALTH NEWS

  • Between Oct 6 and Oct 14, hospitals in Canton recorded several births at Aultman Hospital — where newborns from Atwater, Canton, Massillon and East Canton were delivered — and Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital, which also reported births from local families in Magnolia, Alliance, North Canton, Uniontown and Paris. SPORTS NEWS

  • After Saturday's regular season ended, the Ohio High School Athletic Association announced playoff pairings on Sunday with all first-round games set for Friday, October 31 at 7 p.m. In Division I Region 1, Canton McKinley—earning a first-round bye—will host the winner of the No.6 vs. No.11 matchup.  FOX 8
  • Patriots owner Robert Kraft and Canton's own Ralph Hay are among 21 contributors advancing for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2026. A blue-ribbon committee cut an initial list of 32 nominees and will narrow the field further before full committee voting begins early next year—final selections will be made after additional rounds of review.  WKYC
