ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Storms and heavy rain on Sunday night left thousands in Northeast Ohio without power, with First Energy reporting outages of 515 in Geauga, 5,920 in Lorain, 1,061 in Lake, 680 in Ottawa and 137 in Trumbull counties + meteorologist James Parish said the rain tapered off from southwest to northeast. - ➤ Lake High School football player Justin Landes was injured during a game on Oct 17 and underwent surgery on Saturday to repair a lacerated kidney—doctors say he is in stable condition while they monitor his recovery. The Repository
