- ➤ Verano’s cultivation facility in Canton now produces joints that are pre rolled from its 22000 square foot site, Ohio’s only grow facility for the multi state company — its product is sold at local dispensaries like Zen Leaf and made with quality ground flower to improve the experience. - ➤ Costco recalled several products in September due to safety concerns including Kirkland Signature prosecco—sold from April 25 to August 26—that could shatter, a Dubai-style chocolate mislabeled for wheat, ahi tuna wasabi poke with listeria risks, Oster French door countertop ovens that might burn, and Jimmy Dean sausage items, and advised customers to return these items for a full refund. - ➤ Spirit Halloween is expanding its holiday operations by launching two new Spirit Christmas stores in Ohio—one in Mentor set to open in October and another in North Canton scheduled for November. - ➤ Stark County faces an affordable housing shortage and county leaders are acting on recommendations from a study done last year. Officials met on October 2nd to discuss zoning changes and they will hold more meetings with local governments to help build more affordable homes in the coming months. The Repository

- ➤ The Pro Football Hall of Fame trimmed the seniors list to 52 nominees on Oct. 2, and ex+Browns linebacker Clay Matthews Jr. advanced while Gary Collins was left out. The committee will narrow the list further to 25 then nine in the coming weeks as the selection process continues. The Repository
- ➤ Massillon native and Detroit Tigers catcher Dillon Dillard hit a go-ahead home run in the decisive third game of the AL wildcard series—his hit gave his team the edge to advance in the playoffs. The Repository
- ➤ At Lake High, Zach Novak scored two touchdowns and gained 130 yards in a 13-10 win against Northwest as head coach Dan DeGeorge pushed the team to diversify its offense beyond Davis Matson and Alex Quior—Canton McKinley will face Hoover soon while Hoover prepares for John Collins' return and Jackson turns to backup Carter Muhleman amid injury concerns. - ➤ Thom McDaniels began his coaching career in Orrville and helped McKinley win a 13-0 state championship in 1981—after which Terry Forbes left for a college job, marking a turning point in the program.
