🎭 Culture
Canton residents can join Carnival of Horrors at Stark County Fairgrounds from Oct.
3 to Nov. 1, with tickets costing $28 + fast pass $35. The event is one of many local attractions celebrating spooky season in Northeast Ohio.
📰 Economy
Enbridge Gas Ohio began replacing 16,000 feet of underground gas pipeline in the Lake Cable area of Jackson Township, with work continuing through December and final restoration set for June 2027.
Lane restrictions + traffic delays are expected along West Boulevard NW and nearby roads.
🎓 Education
The League of Women Voters will host a forum on Sept.
17 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Timken Career Campus auditorium to review public school funding challenges with local leaders (parking is available on the Tuscarawas Street side of campus).
🏛️ Government
Canton is asking residents, workers, and commuters to take part in a Community Safety Action Plan survey aimed at reducing traffic injuries & fatalities.
Input must be submitted by Sept. 30 as part of the city’s effort under a Federal Highway Administration grant.
At Alliance Council on Sept.
8, Law Director Andrew Selwa urged neighborly behavior amid rising property disputes and loose dogs. Mayor Andy Grove — leader — announced a downtown cleanup on Sept. 23, trick-or-treat on Oct. 31, and data center workshop on Oct. 20 at the Alliance Area Senior Center.

Central Catholic High School football head coach Jeff Lindesmith said the Crusaders will face Firelands in Oberlin on Friday, Sept.
18 (after Middlefield Cardinal canceled the game) as part of their revised Week 5 schedule.
