- ➤ Police responded around 6 p.m. on Tuesday to a wellness check at a Canton home on the 1600 block of St. Elmo Avenue Northeast and found 41-year-old Jake Young dead from an apparent gunshot wound—investigators are seeking tips from anyone with information. FOX 8

- ➤ Chris Pine was seen at Akron-Canton Airport on Sept. 2 — filming scenes for the movie Carousel with Jenny Slate, as confirmed by the airport's marketing manager. The crew also shot scenes in Medina — part of Ohio's state-funded projects supporting local film work. The Repository
