- ➤ Christ Foundation in Hartville gives funds to local Christian groups that help children and families. The foundation—started in 1971 by Jerry and Patricia Moore—uses a five-step process to award grants of about $10,000 three times a year, with fall applications due by Sept. 30. The Repository
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Aug. 22, Canton firefighters responded at 1:40 a.m. to a blaze at 820 High Ave NW that started when an overheated air conditioner cord sparked flames, leaving a woman displaced and the home heavily damaged—she received help from the American Red Cross and the house may need to be torn down.
