  • East Canton will host its National Night Out event on August 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Smith Gymnasium at 310 Browning Ct.—Residents will have the chance to meet village police and local leaders while enjoying free refreshments, bounce houses, carnival games and prize draws.  The Repository

  • Canton native John Mahon, who nurtured a passion for music at St. Thomas Aquinas, earned a role as Elton John's percussionist+ his talent launched a celebrated music career that highlights local success.  The Repository
  • Designers Kiya Tomlin and Valerie Mayen will display their clothing lines at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Fashion Show luncheon on August 1 at the Canton Memorial Civic Center—one of Ohio’s largest fashion events.
