- ➤ Police announced on July 4 that 33-year-old Massillon man Daniel Z. Mattay, held at Stark County Jail after a June 24 arrest for trespass and drugs, has been charged with murder, felonious assault, strangulation and domestic violence for his role in Ryan T. 'JJ' Godbey’s disappearance from Darlin’s CREW nightclub on June 19 + new evidence confirmed Godbey is deceased. The Repository

- ➤ Perry High grad Callie Hammond opened Visions Collective Dance Co. in Massillon on July 1 at 2092 Wales Road NE to offer dance classes for students 18 months old and up. - ➤ An Ohio Lottery player won $50,000 on a scratch-off ticket bought at Giant Eagle on East Maple Street in North Canton and received about $36,000 after federal and state tax withholdings.
