- ➤ Tim Haverstock, CEO at the J. Babe Stearn Boys & Girls Club, talked about paying it forward as he uses his 45 years of experience working with local youth to shape safe places in Canton — he credits his faith and early days at the Canton Police Boys Club for inspiring his lifelong commitment. - ➤ Stark County is hosting a variety of events as local artists can apply to Mural Fest Canton by July 11 for eight mural sites with paintings scheduled in September and an unveiling on Sept. 27. Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health was named a Thriving Workplace Award winner—while free concerts, movies, museum exhibits and park walks are planned in Canton, Massillon, North Canton and Minerva. - ➤ The Monumental 4th celebration will be held July 3 at McKinley Memorial Park outside the McKinley Presidential Library and Museum, with gates opening at 6 p.m., live entertainment from En-Rich-Ment Drum Line of Stark County and Jimmy and the Soul Blazers starting at 7:30 p.m., and a fireworks display beginning about 9:45 p.m. — City police will enforce road closures on Seventh Street NW, Elgin NW, Monument Park, Washington Blvd NW, and Tuscarawas Street W from 5 to 11 p.m. The Repository
- ➤ Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health has served Stark County youth for 50 years by providing mental health help to over 4,000 children each year and now asks local residents to support its mission by donating, volunteering, or sharing its story.
