- ➤ The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank's Harvest for Hunger Campaign will provide up to 4.5 million meals to help local residents battle food insecurity while thanking nearly a dozen organizations in Summit and Stark counties—about 100 local groups have contributed amid rising grocery costs and funding cuts. The campaign partners, including Cleveland Clinic Akron General, Akron Children’s Hospital, and Giant Eagle, will support efforts across 21 Northeast Ohio counties. The Repository
- ➤ County fair season in Ohio is here with events scheduled in all 88 counties, starting with the Paulding County Fair on June 7 and ending with the Fairfield County Fair from Oct. 5 to Oct. 11. In our area, the Stark County Fair in Canton will run from Aug. 26 to Sept. 1 (with nearby events like the Canfield Fair from Aug. 27 to Sept. 1 and the Tuscarawas County Fair from Sept. 15 to Sept. 21). - ➤ Certified Angus Beef has been named the presenting sponsor for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Festival's Grand Parade set for Aug 2, and the parade draws about 200,000 spectators.
