- ➤ Akron-Canton Airport unveiled a new three-year plan that will guide its efforts until 2027—its goals include adding nonstop flights, increasing parking, and planning for a new air traffic control tower. The plan was developed in six sessions beginning in December 2024 and is expected to support the airport’s nearly 800,000 passengers and boost the local economy. The Repository
- ➤ Jackson Township trustees scheduled three public hearings for rezoning proposals on June 10 at Township Hall. Tim and Angela Betz want to change 4.66 acres from a commercial to a rural residential zone on Erie Avenue NW and Rafael Madrigal seeks to rezone 0.54 acre near Portage Street NW while the township will also consider amending the R-3 PUD district for density and open space—hearings begin at 5 p.m., 5:15 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. The Repository
- ➤ Starting June 2, Perry Township will close part of 12th Street and Summerdale Avenue for 80 days to replace old culverts—drivers must detour via Perry Drive and Jackson Avenue.
