Canton residents gathered yesterday for the annual Memorial Day parade honoring veterans and those who did not come back.

The procession began at 10 a.m. May 25 near landmarks like the former Timken High School building & McKinley Presidential Library, featuring local walkers and families.

Beech Creek Botanical Gardens & Nature Preserve in Washington Township will host a summer kickoff on May 30 with a Butterfly House celebration featuring food and adoptable dogs, interactive camps starting June 16, and family festivals in July and August to bring nature-based fun to visitors of all ages.
