- ➤ Twenty-six people have fallen ill from a salmonella outbreak linked to cucumbers grown by Bedner Growers and distributed by Fresh Start Produce Sales—nine people were hospitalized. The FDA advised both consumers and businesses to discard cucumbers sold between April 29 and May 19—helping reduce further risks as the outbreak affects 15 states including Ohio. The Repository
