- ➤ The Hall of Fame Ribs Burnoff runs May 22–24 at Stadium Park’s main parking lot, with events including live music & fireworks, free parking and shuttles, six BBQ vendors serving ribs, and judging on May 23. Festivalgoers will also enjoy food and craft beer as they await awards. The Repository

- ➤ Tim Misny, one of Northeast Ohio's most recognizable lawyers, discussed his new book 'The Misny Method' during a WKYC Studios interview. The book covers his journey from a small lawyer to a well-known marketer (he is known for his catchphrase 'I'll Make Them Pay'). WKYC
- ➤ Jackson High School will host a free cultural celebration today from 1 to 4 p.m., organized by freshmen Aarit Koul and Conner Barnes. The event will feature speakers, dancing, games, booths and food trucks to celebrate diverse cultures — funded by a $600 Rotary Club donation. The Repository

- ➤ Today, the first OHSAA Girls Flag Football State Tournament takes place at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium with eight teams qualifying from regional contests sponsored by the Browns and Bengals. - ➤ Jackson High School athletes Abigail LaPole (track and field) and Kenyon Oakes (baseball) won Stark County Athlete of the Week for May 4–10 after 35,819 votes were cast, with LaPole receiving 37.84% and Oakes 44.61% of the votes when announced on May 15 at 5:40 a.m. ET. The Repository
- ➤ Seven IVC North schools including East Canton, Malvern, Strasburg, Tuscarawas Central Catholic, Newcomerstown, Conotton Valley and Buckeye Trail will form a new league set to begin in 2028-29 as the historic Inter-Valley Conference winds down after 60 years while IVC South schools compete until 2027-28.
