- ➤ The Ohio Department of Development loaned $562,500 to MRO Built to support equipment upgrades and create seven full-time jobs while retaining 50 roles at its facility (loan announced April 27) in Jackson Township. The Repository
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Akron and Canton-area credit unions defended federal funding for the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund during an online conference on April 17 as proposed cuts may reduce the fund from $324M to $120M next fiscal year. They now await Treasury recertification and urge Congress to preserve current funding. The Repository

- ➤ Stark County high school track and field athletes recorded season bests through April 25 in events like shot put, high jump, and relays, with times measured to one hundredth of a second and reported by local sources.
