- ➤ Women's Impact will honor five women in Stark County for their community contributions at an awards brunch at 9:30 a.m. May 3 at Prestwick Country Club in Green — the nonprofit received 23 nominations and plans to lift local women up for their achievements. The Repository
- ➤ On April 26, Stark County will host Drug Take Back Day with three staffed locations—the Fairgrounds, Law Enforcement Training Center, and Alliance Family Health Center—where residents can drop off expired, unused medications from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The program will offer a safe, anonymous disposal option and will not collect sharps. - ➤ A Wayne County first responder from the Town and Country Fire District, Lt. Paul Charles Mickolick, was struck and killed by a car — a 2006 Cadillac CTS operated by Creighton L. - ➤ Four Ohio craft breweries ranked among the top 50 in the U.S. last year — with Rhinegeist placing 16th in Cincinnati, Great Lakes falling to 18th, BrewDog Brewing in Columbus at 30th, and Fat Head’s from Canton making its first appearance at 48th.
