In addition, events include a youth fishing derby on April 26 at St. Helena Heritage Park, a call for local Black history artifacts at the museum, and a community basketball game on May 3 along with other activities across the region. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Roy Baker Jr. from Stark State College said that a stand-alone financial literacy course is essential for high school students plus it must be timed properly and supported by ongoing teacher training. He explained that Ohio’s mandate requiring all high schoolers to take the course, along with a $500 training bonus for educators, may soon improve money management skills. The Repository
