- ➤ Liv's Law, also known as HB 37, is now in effect to impose harsher penalties on drivers with repeated OVI offenses by mandating longer prison terms and fines up to $25,000 for aggravated vehicular homicide. The law, named after 22-year-old Olivia Wright who was killed by a drunk driver in 2020, allows police to collect oral fluid samples from impaired drivers+ refusal to cooperate may lead to additional charges.
