- ➤ Pav’s Creamery is launching its coffee brand Pav’s Beanery in Plain Township, with an 800 sqft drive-thru (approved by the Stark County Regional Planning Commission on April 7) that will serve locally roasted espresso and blended flavors; construction will finish by year-end. The Repository

- ➤ Yesterday, the EPA announced that Canton's air now meets national health standards after lead pollution dropped 98% following Republic Steel’s August shutdown at its Eighth St. NE facility. - ➤ Taxpayers must file their 2025 federal tax return by Wednesday, April 15 to avoid penalties, and mailing three to five business days early is advised due to potential USPS delays. Ohio residents can file for a six-month extension, but any tax owed remains due on April 15. The Repository
- ➤ A report from local experts explained that Amish residents and business owners paid federal, state and local taxes despite exemptions from Social Security and Medicare taxes—ensuring contributions to public schools and property funds.
