- ➤ A fire broke out Friday morning in a northeast Canton apartment when a woman smoked on oxygen in a recliner—firefighters arrived soon after and found heavy damage to one apartment with moderate damage to another while the American Red Cross assisted displaced residents and medics revived a rescued cat. - ➤ Authorities arrested 26-year-old Unique Thorn on Thursday after she was found living in Massillon in connection with the fatal shooting of 31-year-old Shy'keema Turner on March 18 in Baltimore — she is now held in Stark County Jail awaiting extradition. The Repository
