EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Kent State University at Stark will ask locals for ideas on using its 57,771 sqft conference center, which closed to public events last year. The request, expected soon, invites suggestions on keeping it as a conference space, leasing it, or securing corporate sponsorship+ the center still hosts campus events. The Repository
- ➤ Lake Middle High School teacher Elisa Case won the 2026 Genocide Educator of the Year award and will be honored at the Governor’s Holocaust Commemoration at the Ohio Statehouse on April 13 — she has taught at Lake since 2000 and is recognized for her quality education in genocide studies.
