  • Stark Library and Akron-Canton Airport are partnering with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to offer free children’s books to travelers, with a bookcase placed in the children’s Step2 PlayPort in the main concourse—families can take a book for reading during their journey, and some titles are available in both English and Spanish.  The Repository

  • A 65-year-old Canton man was seriously injured when he was hit by a car at the dangerous intersection of 12th Street and Market Avenue N Monday morning—police are investigating the crash.  The Repository

  • Ariel Corporation—known for making reciprocating gas compressors—said its 15-year partnership with Stark State College has helped over 550 employees earn college credits in CNC precision machining and assembly programs. The company said this workforce training will support its growth and help meet the rising need for skilled workers in the oil and gas industry.  The Repository

HEALTH NEWS

  • The manufacturer of Egg Beaters and Bob Evans Better'n Eggs has recalled about 212,268 pounds of liquid egg products due to a potential contamination with a cleaning solution containing sodium hypochlorite—some of the recalled products were shipped to local distributors. Consumers who have these items are urged not to use them but to discard or return them.  The Repository
