- ➤ Canton men Terrance Williams — accused of first-degree murder and second-degree assault — and Christian Ruben Diaz-Sauceda, accused of aiding an assault, were arrested after a Halloween party on Oct. 27th, 2024 at a home on Canton Road in Summit County that left 39-year-old Brian Cofer dead. - ➤ The Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association announced Academic All-Ohio awards for Kendall Lower of the Northwest girls team and for Luke Wolf of the Perry boys team+and gave the Academic Team Award to Louisville boys who posted a 3.94 team GPA. - ➤ Starting Monday, the intersection of 11th Street SE and Cherry Avenue SE in Canton will be closed for 30 days for road construction and detours will be posted. The Repository

- ➤ Frito-Lay issued a recall on its Tostitos Cantina Traditional Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips sold in Ohio, Kentucky and 11 other states because they may contain undeclared milk; fewer than 1,300 bags with a Guaranteed Fresh date (20 MAY) are affected, so consumers with milk allergies should discard the product immediately. - ➤ Kim Otte of Hoover earned 84.93% of the 1,830 votes while Christopher Good of Perry earned 77.14% to win Stark County’s Athlete of the Week award. Otte, a lacrosse player, scored nine goals in a 19-8 win over Cleveland Heights as Good, a track and field athlete, won state indoor championships in the 60 meters and 400 events at Spire Academy in Geneva.
