- ➤ Jackson Township-based Timken Co. acquired North Carolina-based Bijur Delimon International on March 18 (expanding its automated lubrication systems) with a cash deal expected to boost annual sales by over $60 million. - ➤ On March 16, Washington High School in Massillon demonstrated its career tech programs with practical lessons in pharmaceutical science, marketing, cosmetology and exercise science (sports medicine). - ➤ A 7-ton meteor flew southeast from Lake Erie and broke apart over Valley City Tuesday morning, causing a shock wave felt across northeast Ohio. NASA said the meteor's small size made it nearly impossible to detect before entering the atmosphere. The Repository
- ➤ A recent solar storm may bring the northern lights to parts of Ohio tonight, though mostly cloudy skies could block the view — for example, in Akron, Columbus, and Cincinnati.
