  • Jackson Township's Don Ake hosts Clean Christian Comedy Night at Krackpots Comedy Club in Massillon—he offers a family-friendly space where his comedy serves as a ministry. His next show takes place on March 23 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and tickets cost $10.  The Repository

SPORTS NEWS

  • The OHSAA girls basketball state finals were held Friday and Saturday at the University of Dayton Arena in the tournament’s first year of expanding to seven divisions—three title games on Friday and four on Saturday. Spectrum News 1 and the OHSAA Radio Network broadcast the games live—letting local fans follow each matchup.  The Repository
  • The OHSAA boys basketball tournament continues this weekend at Canton Memorial Field House, where teams including Perry and Louisville will play state semifinal games—four in total—while state finals are scheduled for March 21-22 at University of Dayton Arena.  The Repository
  • Glenville (19-7) and Hawken (20-7) played the Division IV state semifinal on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Canton Memorial Field House, with Glenville winning 50-40 over Warrensville Heights and Hawken winning 63-58 over Jonathan Alder; the semifinal winner will meet Zanesville Maysville in the final on Friday at 4:15 at UD Arena on the University of Dayton campus.  The Repository
