- ➤ Lexington Township will repair West Main Street and install new sewer lines for about 100 homes in the Meadow Grove allotment using $2.8 million in American Rescue funds; work will begin in June and the sewers are set to finish in the next few weeks (traffic will be maintained during construction). The township fire department will add a search and rescue trailer and use its dual-certified K9 Kylo, who turns 6 on March 28, to boost emergency response with the trailer expected to be ready by summer (a $5,000 Norfolk Southern grant paid for it). - ➤ Dressler Road NW near Everhard Road NW in Jackson Township will close for utility work from 7 p.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Monday — motorists should detour using Everhard Road, Whipple Avenue and Dressler Road. The Repository

- ➤ Perry High School's Luke Wolf hit three free throws with less than a second left to win a district final — his off-balance three-pointer at the end of a regional semifinal helped send the team to the final four. The Panthers will face North Royalton in a Division II state semifinal on Sunday at Memorial Field House — Wolf now leads the team with an average of 17.3 points and more ball handling duties. - ➤ Myles Garrett spoke on Friday after signing a new four-year contract extension with the Browns and said he is focused on winning a championship by making plays and being a strong leader—his remarks ended a month-long standoff after his trade demand. The Repository
- ➤ Perry High School athletes Arielle Clapper, a bowler, and Luke Wolf, a basketball player, were named Stark County High School Athlete of the Week for March 3-9 after 17,397 votes were cast, with Clapper receiving 56.30% and Wolf 74.43% of the vote.
