- ➤ Ohio Muslims will adjust their Ramadan fasting schedules when daylight saving time begins March 8 as fasting hours increase from roughly 12 to nearly 13; this rare overlap will not occur again until 2057 (a unique change in scheduling). The Repository
- ➤ North Industry Christian church near Canton will host Rhett Walker's Faith & Family Tour on March 14 at 7 p.m. (special guest Olivia Lane will appear), and tickets cost $20 for general admission and $35 for reserved seating. The Repository
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Perry Local Schools is building new tennis courts on an island in front of Edison Middle School for the fall girls' season. Crews begin clearing trees this week for the four court facility funded with $307,080 from the district’s improvement fund, while boys will play at alternate sites this spring. The Repository

- ➤ The Ohio Department of Taxation said state tax refunds will not be delayed this season. Other states are experiencing processing issues (software glitches, budget cuts, and form update delays) that may extend their refund timelines. The Repository
