- ➤ Massillon Lions Club will perform its 82nd annual fundraising show 'The Lions Family' at Lions Lincoln Theatre on Feb. 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 and March 1. The show will feature dancers, soloists, a choir, comedy and skits to raise money for sight and hearing services, with tickets costing $15. The Repository

- ➤ Gervasi Destinations is nearly ready to open OLINDA, its new restaurant in Jackson Township + it gave locals a sneak peek of a stylish interior that will soon welcome diners. The Repository
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Susan Snipes’ 'Somewhere Between Us' will open at the Massillon Museum (121 Lincoln Way E) on Feb. 21, featuring a multi-sensory installation that explores digital messages through letters, voicemails, posts, and video. A free reception will be held on March 8 from 3 to 5 p.m. The Repository
- ➤ At the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum, the Keller Gallery will host an exhibit on pioneer photographer Frances Benjamin Johnston, displaying photos and artifacts of presidents from Feb. 12 to May 31 & featuring a studio for visitor portraits. The Repository
- ➤ Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo will appear on March 1 at Belden Village Mall in Jackson Township to sign autographs and offer photo ops; ticket prices range from $100 to $250 - VIP early access begins at noon, presented by Prime Time Sports. The Repository

- ➤ Stark County will build a roundabout at the State Street NW and Cleveland Avenue NW intersection in the Greentown area to improve safety and lessen traffic. Construction begins spring 2028 and finishes fall 2029 (the project will proceed in three phases). The Repository

- ➤ Coach Matt Furino resigned from his new role at Louisville High School football due to a medical issue as he and his family prioritized his health. Louisville City Schools said more details about the coaching change will be shared soon. The Repository
- ➤ Stark County high school sports recaps show wins as Marlington beat Alliance 54 to 33, Fairless shut out Minerva 41 to 22, and Lake Center Christian defeated Akron North 61 to 30 while Owen Frazier broke a bowling record in a match with Carrollton. The Repository
- ➤ Sandy Valley Local Schools announced that Torrance Carle, a Stark County native with 13 years of coaching experience from North Carolina, will be hired as head football coach pending board approval on Feb. 23 (pending vote), replacing Brian Gamble. The Repository
- ➤ Louisville High School named former player Jake Adkins as its new head football coach after the previous hire stepped down for health reasons. The school announced his appointment on Feb. 9 (8:01 p.m. ET) and he brings years of coaching experience to lead the football program. The Repository
