- ➤ Aultman College will host a free Preview Day (open house style) at 10 a.m. Feb. 21 next to Aultman Hospital, with tours and meetings with faculty. - ➤ Charity Rysak, a former refugee from Angola (who moved to Canton in 2017), was appointed by Gov. DeWine as state commissioner for the New African Immigrants Commission and will guide policies to boost community integration and access to services. The Repository

- ➤ Aultman Hospital and Mercy Hospital delivered numerous babies between Jan. 18 and Jan. 24 as local families from Canton, Alliance, and New Philadelphia celebrated new arrivals. The Repository

- ➤ The Building and Code Department seeks Council approval to demolish the long-vacant Ritz Hotel Apartments at 705 Sixth St NW; if approved (weather permitting), demolition may start late March or early April. The Repository

- ➤ Alliance quarterback Brendan Zurbrugg transferred to Walsh (an NCAA Division II team) after seasons with Oklahoma and Utah, saying he seeks more playing time and a stable college career. He expects to lead Walsh and help improve its upward trend this season. The Repository
