- ➤ Canton Township has new local leaders and will plan park upgrades in 2026. The township seeks a state grant to create a new park from a former school site and will expand its June 20 Community Day celebration for America's 250th birthday plus renew several local events. The Repository
- ➤ Canton and Stark County host a packed week with the McKinley Museum's Soup at Six Series on Jan. 22, Mercy Service League's Souper Bowl fundraiser on Feb. 1, The Palace Theatre's movie showings starting Jan. 16, and other local cultural, educational, and outdoor events for families & youth. - ➤ Alliance officials are discussing an overnight warming station at The Commons (405 S.
