Alliance officials are discussing an overnight warming station at The Commons (405 S.
Linden Ave.) with Mount Union after a freezing death on Jan. 5, while SARTA provides free bus rides from Alliance to Canton warming centers at St. Paul AME and Crossroads United Methodist churches for those in need.

The BBB Charitable (Stark, Carroll, Tuscarawas) Fund announced its annual scholarship essay contest for high school seniors on Jan.
